4.0 theatre connections. This is what I studied in college. See, I wanted a career with a future, that wouldn't let me down. I did a lot of office temping. Seriously, I did very well when I tried my hand in Chicago. I worked with cool people, like Eric Simonsen (Oscar winner!) and Jon Favreau (we used to give the "finger" to the audience backstage before every performance). I fine-tuned my craft, and I learned a lot about Ramen. I sang opera, and I played Long John Silver--I spoke Dylan Thomas, and I shattered my kneecap. I wouldn't trade a moment of it. Then I moved to Ann Arbor, and kept on making theatre happen here. I taught at Gabriel Richard High School and I directed for Washtenaw Community College. I've also directed and acted at the Ann Arbor Civic Theatre and Performance Network. Now, I act, direct, and I've discovered something new that I love as much or more--teaching. During the course of my travels I participated in over 100 plays and musicals, and wrote half a dozen too. This is where Artistic Connections comes in. I am teaching and performing regionally (unless someone wants to fly me to New Zealand all expenses paid) for continuing education programs, community theatres and professional groups.
